Meet the (DC) Family: Jessica S. Bruce
Jessica S. Bruce grew up just a few blocks from 1770 Euclid Street NW – where the neoclassical church that’s now the LINE DC sat empty for a quarter of a century. When the doors of the historic property reopened to the neighborhood, the Adams Morgan Community Center opened as well – and Jessica was here.
Whether greeting students ahead of tutoring sessions with FLOC, creating programming with the DC Public Library (including Drag Queen Story Hour, and the Library Takeout at AMCC), or hosting events with partnering organizations that support business development, health and wellness, arts, and student learning, Jessica’s role at the Adams Morgan Community Center is as varied and diverse as the community it serves.
“With these events, the community has found a place where it can create new opportunities and thrive – and I am part of that community. The AMCC is the heartbeat of Adams Morgan.”
