Beverage Director Spotlight

Lukas B. Smith

Meet Lukas B. Smith, the visionary beverage director behind No Goodbyes at the Line DC, known as the mad scientist of the DC craft bartending scene. With expertise spanning elite cocktail artistry, non-alcoholic beverage innovation, and distillery production, Smith has pioneered fermentation techniques at Daikaya, developed audacious full-menu programs at Dram & Grain, and revolutionized frozen cocktails. At No Goodbyes, he continues pushing boundaries while championing his passion for whole botanicals, breaking the flavor monopoly of liqueur manufacturers to bring raw, botanical creativity back into bartenders' hands.
