The LINE LA
The health and safety of our guests and staff are our priority. You can find information on our COVID-19 protocols here.
The LINE LA is a second home for both neighbors and travelers seeking a rich experience in one of the most diverse and vibrant neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Tucked between Hollywood and downtown, the LINE is in the heart of Koreatown where decades of Korean, Latino, and American heritage converge. Originally built in 1964 and once the temporary home to Hunter S. Thompson, the LINE embraces its mid-century bones and the many stories its walls contain, as well as celebrating the culturally rich neighborhood we call home.
EAT & DRINK
Dining at the LINE is a metaphor for life in Los Angeles – easy and casual, informed by the many cultures of the city and built on the bounty of California farm and field. From Alfred Coffee to Michelin-starred chef Josiah Citrin’s Openaire, freshness and good times are served up here from morning to night.
WORK FROM (OUR) HOME
Like working from home, but without the distractions and with next-level work perks like swimming pool access and free valet parking. Reserve one of our spacious guest rooms with large working desk, lots of light, and a bed in case you need a midday nap, ahem “lunch break.” Fuel your workday with coffee from Alfred in the lobby, let our room service crew deliver power lunch straight to you or take a break in the fresh air of Openaire, our lush outdoor restaurant with beautiful views on the 2nd Floor. We promise not to tell your boss your workday was this awesome.
We’re dog people, but cats are ok too. All pets stay for free at the LINE. No fees. No weight limits. No hassle. And of course we roll out the VIP(et) treatment: homemade treats plus a pet bed and bowl for your use, in-room. The Front Desk are your go-to for neighborhood recommendations for walks, parks and pet-friendly bars and restaurants.
Keep it moving HERE. Zen out at our weekly Tai Chi class on Sundays at 11am in the front drive with master Hakim Tafari, free for guests and locals. Learn more about what Hakim calls “moving meditation” here, and sign up at the Front Desk.
If you prefer to roll, borrow a free LINUS x LINE bike and cruise one of LA’s most interesting neighborhoods; or widen your horizons and ride to Echo Lake Park or Griffith Park, two of the city’s green gems.
Located between Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles (and with views of Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign), Koreatown is unlike any other neighborhood in Los Angeles. An intersection of LA culture and decades of Korean and Latino heritage, K-town is one of LA’s few 24-hour neighborhoods, and home to some of the best late night BBQ joints and karaoke bars. Since its opening in 2013, the LINE LA has been at the forefront of a renaissance as this 3-sq. mile section of LA has become a destination for urban explorers and creatives, near and far.
