From a young age Kristen Kish had an instinct for food. After her first taste of spicy kimchi at the age of seven, she wanted to pair it with a burger for balance. The same intuitive approach to re-inventing nostalgic dishes characterizes the work of the Top Chef Season 10 and author today, although she’s acquired a hefty dose of technique and experience in the intervening years.
