Full Service Radio

Transformer DC is one of our fave cultural partners, and on Thursday, February 14 they’re taking over Full Service Radio for the third-annual Heartbreakers Ball: a Valentine’s event in support of local art & artists.

From 6:30 – 9:30PM, shop 150+ original artworks from the Transformer FlatFile, make customized V-Day “loveline” dedications over the Full Service Radio airwaves, and get down as Transformer’s Victoria Reis & husband Brian Baker (Bad Religion, Dag Nasty, Minor Threat, Beach Rats & Fake Names) spin eclectic lovers & breakers playlists alongside Full Service Radio’s Jack Inslee.

See also: drink specials at BAS Bar and A Rake’s Progress, and more balloons than you thought might be possible. It’s gonna be a good one.

PS – this event is free and open to all. RSVP for headcount purposes only.

Launched in spring 2007, Transformer’s FlatFile consists of works in a variety of two-dimensional mediums, priced toward the emerging collector budget and including photography, painting, drawing and printmaking, all approximately 16″ x 20″ in size and smaller. Focused on supporting emerging DMV-based artists, Transformer’s evolving FlatFile collection features more than 200 original works.

With your support, proceeds from Transformer’s Heartbreakers Ball will go towards their continued work of promoting emerging artists, and providing artistic exploration to the DC community and beyond. Now more than ever, their programming is essential for the creative community.
