Root Division Presents: Alexis Javellana Hill

March 15 - June 30

Selected works by Alexis Javellana Hill are now on display at Alfred Coffee in the LINE SF. We’re proud to house these important works as the fifth installation of our quarterly rotating art exhibition curated by Root Division.

Root Division is a visual arts nonprofit that connects creativity and community through a dynamic ecosystem of arts education, exhibitions, and studios. Located near the hotel at 1131 Mission Street at 7th, the space hosts classes and a monthly, second-Saturday exhibition series that is free and open to the public.

Alexis Javellana Hill‘s practice comprises drawn and painted abstractions with a focus on space and juncture. Alexis is interested in the organization and compartmentalization of the built environment, from overpasses, parking structures, and windows to human patterns of passage, transit, and congregation.

The installation will be on display in Alfred Coffee through June 2024.
