Art and Photography Opening Reception

May 17 | 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for the opening reception of The LINE 10 Year: Art and Photography curated by Jonathan Carver Moore (SF) and CineStill (LA) at the Lobby Gallery and Ivy Foyer.

The LINE 10 Year: Art and Photography exhibition features 25 contemporary artists who have created vibrant portraits that blend the influence of people, places, and popular culture through photography, portraiture, and mixed media. Curated by Jonathan Carver Moore and CineStill, the exhibition aims to showcase the beauty of our everyday surroundings while emphasizing the role of our communities in shaping our perceptions of the world.

Jonathan Carver Moore is a contemporary art gallerist that specializes in working with emerging and established artists who are BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and women. As the only openly gay, Black male-owned gallery in San Francisco, Jonathan is committed to amplifying the voices of the often underrepresented artists through a Black queer lens. He believes in community and accessibility. Whether someone is a novice or avid collector, he sees and believes in the beauty of diversity in all aspects of the art world.

Inspired by the distinct look of motion picture film, CineStill has been an innovative player in the world of photographic film since 2012, known for producing film for analog cameras that push the limits of traditional photography. Find it on sale in a special vending machine in the lobby of the LINE LA.
