About Rosegawd:
DJ Rosegawd, also known as Rose, is a dynamic DJ and event curator with roots in the San Fernando Valley. She began her DJ career in Harlem, New York, in 2017, where she founded “Ladera Hearts,” an event platform merging music and fashion. Initially hosting themed fashion events at local bars, she expanded her influence to Los Angeles by 2019. During the 2020 quarantine, Rosegawd transitioned to Twitch, hosting weekly tribute sets dedicated to various Hip Hop and R&B artists. These sessions garnered attention from artists like Toni Braxton and Dawn Richard. Her tribute events gained significant popularity, notably after Mariah Carey acknowledged one of her Mariah Carey Nights in May 2022. This recognition led to increased attendance at her events, including the highly acclaimed “Club Renaissance,” a celebration of Beyoncé’s album, which received a nod from Tina Knowles. Beyond live events, DJ Rosegawd shares her mixes and remixes on platforms like SoundCloud, where she has released tracks such as “Next Lifetime” and episodes of “Romance Radio.” (The inspo behind the comic) DJ Rosegawd’s innovative approach to event curation and her dedication to celebrating influential music have solidified her presence in the industry, making her a notable figure in both Los Angeles and New York music scenes.
