Sundown Service: King Isis

January 18 | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

For this edition of Sundown Service, catch King Isis (they/she) shift shapes and fuse sounds ranging from rock and R&B to jazz and blues, sweeping through pain, growth, and transformation. Music has been in King Isis’ blood for generations: They were taught on the piano by their great-great-grandmother Omega King, one of the first Black opera singers in Chicago. Stifled by years of stringent classic training, they began to explore alternative worlds. A counter-culture weirdo, King Isis creates for those outside the margins.

Keep the energy up while the sun goes down at Sundown Service, a monthly gathering celebrating the diversity of Koreatown. Inspired by the originality of the guests and patrons at the LINE Hotel, Sundown Service is a revolving line-up of artists serving up a space for community, genre-bending creativity, and togetherness. Come by and enjoy the full Lobby Bar menu, delicious cocktails, and good vibes.
