Move over PSL, it's all about the puppuccinos in D

Move over PSL, it's all about the puppuccinos in December. We've partnered with @feedpetaluma to offer a special treat for our furry friends at our @alfred locations in SF and Austin. For the month of December, we’ll be serving up this special, dog-safe drink – a cup of dairy-free whipped cream served in a limited time “pup cup,” topped with Petaluma’s sweet potato jerky and made fresh just for your pooch. Puppuccino proceeds benefit Family Dog Rescue (@ilovefamilydog) in SF and Beagle Freedom Project (@beaglefreedom) in Austin.

For our SF people: Stop by tomorrow, December 2nd, to adopt your newest family member from @ilovefamilydog rescue. The event runs from 11am to 2pm and is in partnership @feedpetaluma, who will be passing out their plant-based treats. More info in our Happenings highlight.

Sakura Kokumai, the first and only female karate O

Sakura Kokumai, the first and only female karate Olympian, instructed a Self Defense 101 workshop at the LINE LA, and her spiritual energy still lingers in Gramercy Garden. Sakura believes that self-awareness is key to understanding our own strengths and weaknesses, which in turn builds inner confidence. "Karate comes from knowing who we are," says @sakurakokumaikarate.

The workshop, co-hosted by @togethxr and @bywayof.us, brought a community of friends, families, mother-daughter duos, and more who were interested in moving – and being moved – in a different way, the karate way. Proceeds for the event will be donated to @classroomchampions. Photos by @kianamichellescott
