Join us on the pool deck for the closing reception for resident artist Molly Margaret Sydnor. Mingle with the artist and the crew from Big Medium while DJ Panda Particles (CiCi Elegans) creates the groove. Guests are encouraged to bring small found objects that Molly will incorporate into the Still Life series she’s been developing during her residency.
Molly Margaret Sydnor is a Dallas-based multidisciplinary fine artist with an eye for textiles. Molly creates interactive work through storytelling and the layering of media, ideas, and imagery of identity and the body. Experimentation, innovation, and play ground Sydnor’s work in her exploration of the complexities of gender, race, and sexuality. Sydnor is a biracial, queer-identifying woman whose self-identity heavily influences her work. She recently exhibited at Future Front during Austin Studio Tour, and she currently has an installation at the Downtown Dallas iteration of Sweet Tooth Hotel.

The LINE Residency is an artist-in-residence program produced by Big Medium in partnership with the LINE Austin, now in its fifth year. Artists selected for the residency program have access to a private studio space within the LINE Austin, located in the heart of downtown Austin overlooking Lady Bird Lake.
