Join us for the opening reception of PASSPORT by Russell Hamilton, our latest artist in residence. Complimentary Viarae prosecco will be served from 7pm to 8pm, while supplies last.
PASSPORT is a portrait study highlighting the Caribbean island of Jamaica. The exhibition recounts diasporic travel & experimental still-life moments suspended in time. Also on view from August 2nd through September 30th is NALIA Commemorative — A pop-up souvenir shop encompassing the entrepreneurial spirit of shopkeepers found throughout predominantly Black & Brown neighborhoods. The word NALIA, derived from paraphernalia, is a Southern term colloquially used to identify memorabilia. Inspired by swap meets & flea marts, this conceptual store features an array of collectibles & original art pieces by the artist himself. PASSPORT is on view from August 1st through October 31st and NALIA Commemorative is on view August 2nd through September 30th.
