Artist Dewey Saunders is in residence at the LINE LA. You’ve seen his vibrant, dynamic collages on album covers for Anderson .Paak and Future and in the pages of Vanity Fair, and in August, he’s popping up with a group of new works in an exhibition titled Mental Vacation, which runs from Thursday, August 17th to Wednesday, August 23rd.
As part of his residency, Dewey is leading a collage workshop where you’ll explore the steps to make a paper collage by hand. Leaf through vintage magazines and books, cut out images, and paste them into your artwork: Dewey will guide and assist you through each stage of the collage process. A crash course in paper collage and fun for everyone, this ticketed session is great for any skill or age. Whether you’re a budding creative, a seasoned artist, or somebody with creative inklings, this workshop is for you. Materials will be provided.
