Charles Benjamin Russell is an artist/illustrator musician born 1986 in Linden-Kildare, TX. He has been a practicing visual artist and for over 10+ years, with his main focus being ink and watercolor illustrations on paper and wood.
Charles is self-taught. He has developed his original style of uniquely whimsical, dark, and humorous worlds of interconnected characters by way of trial, error, and time. He currently lives in Austin, TX and maintains a studio at the Museum of Human Achievement.
Charles is in residence at the LINE May 16 – June 26 and will be working out of the artist’s studio on the 2nd floor of the hotel on Fridays from 1-5pm.
