Pichet Ong x Nicole Rucker at Spoken English

The cake king and pie queen are coming together for one delicious dinner (and a bonus bake sale): our own Brothers And Sisters and Spoken English Pastry Director Pichet Ong will be hosting chef and author Nicole Rucker for a 4-course dinner at Spoken English on September 22.
The $65 dinner includes a copy of Nicole’s new cookbook, Dappled, a custom Pichet x Nicole tote bag, and a sweet treat to take home. Seatings are at 3 pm, 5 pm, and 7:30 pm at Spoken English: reservations are available now on Resy.
About Nicole Rucker: Nicole Rucker is a chef and author from Los Angeles. Formerly the pastry chef of the Gjelina Group (including G.T.A. and Gjusta), Rucker is known internationally for her rustic desserts and has won several awards for her homespun pies. In 2012, she won blue ribbons in the National Pie Championship, KCRW Good Food Pie contest and a Star Chef award for baking.
About Pichet Ong: Named as a finalist for the 2019 Outstanding Pastry Chef by the James Beard Foundation, Ong was the subject of a recent Bon Appetit story titled, “The Chef Behind the Best Cakes We Ate this Year,” which goes on to rave, “…we can’t stop thinking about them.” Ong shook up New York’s pastry scene while he worked with Jean-Georges Vongerichten and was three times awarded three stars by The New York Times. He is included in Pastry Arts & Design Magazine’s Top Ten Pastry Chefs in America, and has been called a “pastry provocateur” by Food & Wine. His cookbook, The Sweet Spot was a “Year’s Best” in The New York Times, Gourmet and World Gourmand.
